I recently took at trip to Auburn, California to visit my Aunt Dot, cousins Lora, Andy and his wife, Mel, and my Mamie. I went with Mom, Megan, Fletcher and Jane. We had 4 generations under one roof and had so much fun. We did what we do–played outside, picked vegetables from the garden, cooked, ate, swam, shopped a little, and took the train one day to San Francisco. I am ready to return and am so grateful to Mamie and Aunt Dot for hosting our little tornado of a traveling group.
We picked fresh blackberries and made little pies.
We went for a hike.
We played with chickens and worked in the garden.
We (Jane) admired Aunt Dot’s seashell collection and picked some out to take home.
We loved on each other.
We look the train to San Francisco for the day.
We visited the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market.
Admired the boats (and ate lots of suckers).
Saw the sea lions.
Walked the whole town.
Took in the culture.
Swam at Aunt Dot’s.
Celebrated Meg’s 36th birthday.
Made friends with Klaus, the sweet, but shy German Shephard.
Made pancakes with blackberry sauce.
It was such a sweet trip!!
You got all the highlights perfectly. Thank you for being our family storyteller. I love to read your posts!
